Langwarrin Aged Care nursing home project
Within the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic and the constant lockdowns throughout Victoria during 2020, JML Flooring was tasked to complete one of our largest commercial projects to date. This project was located within the Melbourne’s ‘limits’ at Langwarrin.
As many remember, Melbourne were cut off from traveling to us country folk, and we were not allowed past certain points either, there was essentially a ‘boarder’ between the city and country. The project was just past this boarder, meaning anytime we crossed it, we had to abide by Melbourne’s rules, which of course had some challenges to it. What could some of those challenges be? To name just a few, we were required to have valid working permits, have proof of identity with a valid license showing a home address, the work site had to be set up in zones in order to help the spread of the virus and so much more. Was it all worth it? Absolutely. Coming to the end of a product for a state of the art Aged Care facility which was now able to hold hundreds of residents, have updated facilities and designs throughout the building, it was a pleasure to be a part of something like that.
